Does Futon Factory only carry futon mattresses and futon frames?
No, we carry many furniture types from futons and convertible sofas to Adult bedroom furniture and premium mattresses.
In fact we are well known nation–wide for our innovative creations in children’s lofts, bunks, and case goods.
Again, we design and manufacture these products and promise you very reasonable prices and we will take care of any problems that arise.
We literally know these products inside–out.
Are you associated with Futon 123 or any other Futon store?
No, we are not, nor have we ever been associated with any other futon retail company. We are unique in that we have our own line
of products that are created for, and supplied to us by our parent company Epoch Design, LLC. We have watched many futon,
children’s furniture, and bedroom store retailers come and go over the years, while we stand strong. At Futon Factory the
consumer does not pay for a middle–man on any of the products we produce. There are very few retailers who can say this
and stand behind it.
What is a futon or futon mattress?
In a traditional form, the futon mattress is a pad consisting of cotton batting that is encased and tufted in a thick cotton
fabric. Manufacturers today are incorporating more comfort and luxury into futons by combining cotton fibers with natural rubber,
open cell foams, fiber material, and innersprings. We have listened more carefully to what people want in our dynamic society.
Do we have futon mattresses and frames in stock?
Yes, all futon mattresses and futon frames are in stock in our three retail locations. If for some reason we are out of stock, you can
pick up your purchase at our warehouse in Redmond, Washington immediately during normal business hours (excluding weekends). Otherwise
the item will be brought to the store on the next stock truck. Special sizes for RV’s and other unique purposes may take a few days, or
just over a week, depending on where you want to pick it up. Alternatively, you may have the product delivered or delivered and set up
in your home for a minimal fee.
Do you deliver products and how long does it take?
We offer an in&*8211;house delivery and assembly service if you live in the Greater Seattle area. In most cases, we can deliver your purchase
within a week. Delivery service is on a first come–first serve basis. When you purchase your product with delivery, or delivery and setup,
we will call you within 24 hours to schedule a mutually convenient day and time. Note: we schedule the deliveries from our warehouse
which is closed on weekends, so delivery sales made on Friday, Saturday or Sunday will be called on Monday.

in about one week, usually much less time if you are willing to pick it up at the warehouse. Please call the nearest store location for details

What is latex?
We carry only Englander latex. This is certified 100% natural rubber latex. Englander has trademarked the name Laytex™ to
differentiate it from petroleum–based latex, though the term latex is used for both types. The difference between latex and Laytex™ is that the
former is composed of some natural rubber and some petroleum products and fillers. The mixture varies from one producer to the next. Englander's
Laytex™ is composed of 100% natural rubber from a Rubber tree plant. This product is naturally anti–microbial, hypoallergenic, dust–mite resistant, and has a very long, useful life when compared to any other sleeping or sitting surface. In our opinion, it is also the best sleeping and sitting
surface available today.
Are your futon frames difficult to assemble?
Our frames have simple instructions and come ready to assemble. Only six pieces and ten machine nuts and bolts are required to assemble any of our
futon frames. All futon mattresses come tied and wrapped in an extremely friction, tear and water resistant bag for simple carrying.
Can futons from the Futon Factory be re–stuffed or reconditioned?
All of our futon mattresses that are composed of cotton, foam and/or Dacron can be re-stuffed for as long as you, the original owner, have it.
We charge only for the cost of the material! We re–stuff only Futon Factory futons, and only on a carry–in basis, in our warehouse production
facility in Redmond, Washington. We will not recondition dirty or stained futon mattresses for health reasons. Please keep your futon
protected at all times.
Are futons made in standard size dimensions?
All Futon Factory futon mattresses come in standard sizes [King (80" x 76"-78") Queen (80" x 60") Full (75" x 54") Twin (75" x 39")] and can be
used with bed sheets, duvets, bunk beds, platform beds, etc. We can, however, make custom–sized futons for you. Call the store nearest you for more
information. Note: all sizes vary slightly (one inch either way on each dimension) as with any other mattress.
What is visco–Elastic Memory Foam?
Visco–Elastic Memory Foam is unique foam with properties that continually adjust and mold to the weight, shape and temperature of your body.
It improves circulation, dramatically minimizes pressure points, and reduces tossing and turning. In essence, it distributes your body weight more
evenly over the entire surface area of your body that is touching the foam. By distributing your weight more evenly over your entire body, it is easy
to understand that weight would be reduced on your body’s pressure points. This product will cost you almost half the price of the leading foam
mattress brands, yet has all of the features and higher quality foams. For more information on the technical aspects of this foam, or pricing,
please call the store nearest you.
Why is a futon frame and futon mattress better than a conventional sleeper sofa?
With a futon, we don't include the notorious bar in the middle of your back, making it the obvious choice for those prefer sleeping comfortably
to tossing and turning all night and waking up with a sore back. Sleeper sofa mattresses cannot compare to even a middle–line futon in terms of
comfort or support. Most must fold 3 ways. Given that and thickness restrictions inherent in their design, there is no comparison. With a futon, it's
also easy to change the upholstery and the mattress. With a futon you can purchase a second upholstery grade cover and change the whole look of any
given room. All of our frames are solid Oak, Ash or Birch. Please let us know if you find a sofa sleeper with a Solid Oak or Birch frame on sale
for less than $3,000. We have NEVER seen this. At Futon Factory you can purchase a futon mattress, frame and cover for less than $500. Finally, one
person can disassemble or move a futon without difficulty. Have you ever tried to lift, or even move a sofa sleeper? It is not an easy feat.
